About the Tip Calculator

This calculator adds a chosen tip to a bill and divides the final amount equally between one or more people. You can enter tax separately, choose whether the tip should include that tax, and round the total when convenient.

How the calculation works

The selected percentage is multiplied by either the bill amount or the bill plus tax. The resulting tip is added to the full bill, and the final total is divided by the number of people.

Useful options

Tip presets: choose a common percentage or enter any custom rate.
Equal split: divide the total and tip fairly across up to 100 people.
Tip basis: decide whether tax or extra charges are included when the tip is calculated.
Rounding: round the full total or each person’s share upward and see the adjustment clearly.
